In memory of my wife, Sue Tyers, 1961-2021.
Our house in St Sever was the realisation of a long held dream to own a property in France.
It was Sue's last project to decorate and furnish the house and apartment to her taste,
I was merely the labourer to make her ideas come to life.
With the apartment she wanted to make sure it was comfortable for anyone to use, yet she was
keen to make sure it was completely accessible for our friend Andy who is a wheelchair user.
It was to become the last French home of our good friends Pam & Alan, who after more than thirty
years living in France, spent their last six months living there before moving back to the UK.
We spent many breaks there and became great friends with our neighbours, Stuart & Elaine.
Sue was far more proficient at French than me, so was well known in the local shops.
Natalie & Gil, owners of our local bar became friends too, I know Sue will be missed in St Sever.

Sue on our first visit to France in 1984.
We took a day trip to Monaco, here she poses by a Porsche.
1987, my win in FF2000 at Cadwell Park.
Sue always supported me in everything that I did even when I accepted I wasn't any good at driving race cars and quit a few months later in the rain at Donington. In earlier years, she had supported me and my band The Llamas, in later years she attended every gig I played with The Karsie Chiefs and Radio Rental, she was always positive with our releases on YouTube. Our track 'InstruRental' was played at her funeral as she said she really loved the track. |
Sue was a huge film buff, unfortunately I'm not!
Here she is with some friends in Las Vegas in 2001.

Rest in Peace Sue, you will always remain in my heart.
You said when I achieved my Diploma in Sound Engineering in March 2021 - 'I'm so proud of you.'
I hope that in the future I can still be the person you are proud of.
